Damnation Alley was finished and released on the 30th March, 2019.

This game was created for the Syntax Bomb competition 8 – Retro Wars.

I created a fork off my Vic 20 framework code to do something similar for for the C64 so that I could make that game and I’m considering building on both of these frameworks to be able to make remakes in the look of the original games. I would probably not make them quite as restrictive as I did for Damnation Alley, however. Artificial screen borders, grumble.

I had started work doing a simple remake of a Vic 20 game called Destroyer before the competition came up so I will go back and finish that after a bit of a break from coding. Doing competition games in restricted time-frames is draining.
